i joined this project in mid of 2003. it was originally founded by GlaDiaC and stony777 and the first idea was to found a clan which consists just of people playing their favorite games under linux. but after some time it has been extended by modules like news, forum, howto and many more so it has become a big community portal.

staff of linuX-gamers.net planned and initiated first proofed linux-only lanparty in germany. we've planned 2 events by now, both were planned without profit for anyone. the first party was planned for 100 people, but we were financially ok with at least 50 gamers and it was a full success. atmosphere was great and it was pure fun. second lanparty unfortunately failed caused by too less attendees.
